23 What is Basotect® ?

Basotect® is a flexible foam made from melamine resin.
Basotect® has an unique characteristics and high flame resistance by melamine resin attribution and fine cell structure.
In addition Basotect® is extremely light weight and superior in fabricating performance,therefore it can be applied to various applications

Characteristics

  1. Low weight (Density 6±2～ 9±2 kg/m3)
  2. Flame retardant
  3. Thermal insulation・Sound absorption・Basotect® has thermal insulation・sound absorption by fine cell structure
  4. Heat endurancc (Max240 degree, Safe use temperature150 degree)
  5. Water absorption (Basotect® has water absorbability by capillary phenomenon. Water repellency grade are available by special treatment)
